Potty Mouth Patrol Strikes Again

Via Email:

Here's an image from last night. Everyone around me was talking about someone they believed to be a sexual predator. Conversation was getting way out of hand. Then we noticed there was a mod telling people to watch their mouths. This did not include our group.

  3. The first post broke, there was some issues with an edit, so we removed it and reposted it.

  4. Ok kool I havent lost my sanity then. Thanks for the info H-W. As for the post, MODs not paying particular attention to conversations can be both a good and bad thing. If you like your privacy and freedom (limited by not pottymouthin or spammin), its good. If you want the chat super clean its bad. Though you can go a personal space if you need privacy.

  5. People should remember that the Mods are there only to protect SONY, not the user. In fact, they are there to protect SONY from us and any possible litigation.

The use of abusive language could potentially open up Sony to a lawsuit.

Predators like you see above do not. If any event were to occur, Sony would claim ignorance and would claim it's a matter of the perpetrator's jurisdiction.

That is why Koorbllaf cares only about the language, not about the sexual predator in that instance. I know it sounds messed up but that is the explanation.

  6. Good point JTWNY,

But you know the majority of the people talking like this are only doing it for attention they want those around them to focus on them,,, how many of us walk around Home and only stop and stare when something outrageous catches our eye,,, we then process the info and after a few sentences we figure out its just a couple of punks playing around - so we move on go to where we intended to go.

  7. How is the language of a sexual predator not abusive? I mean, is there a reason sexual harassment is on the report bar, or is it just for looks?

  8. The sexual harassment bar refers to sexually explicit language, not conduct. Thus, saying "I like the smell of children" or something similarly disgusting like that, you won't be reprimanded by the mods.
