Staff Communication

Finally over the last week or so the Home staff have poked their heads out of the ground. Since they didn't see their shadows, we can expect stuff to get done. So far, here are some interesting tidbits of information we didn't have prior to this:

  1. The Home staff are unaware of what's going on on the development side, at very least related to what tools are coming to help ease harassment.
  2. Two new HCM folks have been added, one of which is MercuryValentine who's job seems to be related to harassment.
  3. Jack Buser, director of Home supposedly reads the forums daily, and submits posts he finds interesting to the HCM.
As more details on their positions and knowledge come out, we will keep you up to date

  1. Any new Tools would fall under the Core OS for Home which is made by SCEE, So the NA team would not be told until they are ready to go forward with them.

MV is the new Lead Mod, she will oversee the whole Mod team for home, that includes the online (ingame mods) and the off line team that reviews the reports etc, along with working with PSN, since bans are for all of PSN not just HOME

  2. So I take it that MercuryValentine doesn't moderate the forums?

  3. None of them moderate the forums.. The forums are own and controlled by the idiots at Lithium.

  4. So in other words.. Lithium employee's are the ones who moderate Sony's forums.

  5. Oh yeah, that's right. I wonder if Sony will ever replace them with their own moderators.

  6. Can only imagine the headache to migrate from Lithium to Sony exclusive. Can't see Sony employees working within another private company. Yikes.

  7. None of this is true, get your facts straight. HCM staff has stated that they're not allowed to ANNOUNCE things being developed, not that they don't know. And those 2 new staff members introduced are just people on the Home team, not HCM staff. They've both been working on Home for like a year.

  8. I have to admit, I was surprised just how many people (Home Watch members included) became such kiss-asses as soon as "Jack Buser" said hi and got the fuck out of Dodge. I mean, really...and to think I thought you guys had promise.

  9. i don't recall kissing his ass, he himself came and answered my question after a couple of pages and after that i dipped out. the main thing was "Where's Jack? is he really reading these forums?" and i guess the answer appears to be 'Yes'. they could've locked the damn thing after that for all i care. but they're not going to lock or delete a thread that Jack Buser posts in, especially not his first post. they proved that by deleting 2 1/2 pages of that thread rather than just locking it.
