  4. Kapow I know, remember when I made the old bit.ly to show Home we could get around the filter? Yeah. They filtered that bit.ly relay too. So I just started adding one for each post. Let's see them make that much effort.

  5. no joke? I was thinking about buying us a domain too but what's the point they'd censor that too!

  6. And here's Mr_Lochwood's response:

"OMG!!! LMBO!!! Now see there that's some funny stuff right there! I don't care where your from, that's funny!! Hehehehe..."

Some people overreact, some people don't.. no big deal.

  7. oohhh. well my 'work around' is that my sig links to photobucket, and when you click on my sig, it takes takes you to my sig pic on photobucket which has the Home-Watch URL under the picture :3

but if they read this ^^^ then they'll probably remove my signature due to some imaginary rule they just came up with on the spot.

also, i'm pretty sure the reason our URL is censored over at Lithium has something to do with Locust or Cyd, or both. because they both sent me a PM containing our URL (UNcensored) then shortly after that (the very same day i believe) our URL became censored.
    coincidence?

  10. Watch them ban shorturl links like tinyurl and bit.ly from now on. "They uh...could be phishing attempts! Yeah, that's the reason!"

  11. ProTip: Mods are sparse on Sunday morning in the PSN forums. Once I figure out what times the mods are on duty driving buses or delivering pizza I'll post those schedules.

Anyway log in using an alt ID and post something that tells the forumers about Home Watch. Maybe preface it with noting that Sony censors the blog name first, then write "http://home[dash]watch.blogspot.com" or "http://home-watch.blogspot. com"

  12. or... best yet... post like a madman and then update your signature during a high traffic time. What is a high traffic time on the forums?

  13. It's not a professionalism he lacks here (for once), but more like a lack of knowing anything about Game Informer. They'll be in business until the the industry keels over thanks to the GameStop connection? Home (and him) will be out of work when Sony decides to stop wasting their time.

  14. The way it's written, he seems like he took an April Fool's joke a bit too personally. He should know by now that it's "hip" to poke fun at Home in gaming journalism.

Getting mad over this sort of thing would be like Rick Astley getting upset over his video being used as a rickroll.

IMO, something like L_S retort wouldn't be too big of a deal. April fool's jokes are a tradition, people should know that. L_S had to address it, but putting that in the end wasn't cool. If it was clearly a joke post or a joke thread then that'd be fine. Doing it like that just makes L_S seem butthurt, and lessens his credibility.

  15. Fail of the year: Sony hired employees with a short intention span and horrible taste of jokes

  16. here in all fairness, this site is now just taking anything they say and turning it negative. he's hardly "talking smack" about the gameinformer, this site needs to get over itself, it used to be standing up against home but reading sum of the recent stuff it just appears that its any chance to take a pop shot at home and home staff. care to convince me otherwise?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Even some other guy pointed out. April First IS a maitenance day....Hence why its getting the servers shut off for temporarily. Game Informer pwned Sony lol

  18. no they didnt...

  19. Wait... you're actually upset that someone turned tables on a GI april fools joke? Yeah home is kind of boring, a test bed for concepts beyond general practical use, but someone smack talking GI is both not new, but not really a big deal.

Will you next attack the sources used by wikipedia to confirm allegations that GI is actually less read than reported due to the storefront tie and contrived method of subscription?

Home closing is as likely as GI closing... while Gamestop has suffered two major financial hits since 96, and they're the ones in ownership of GI (and ziff davis perished the thought of acquiring GI more than several years ago), they're realistically equally as likely to fold. They're both privately owned and will remain as long as they're useful tools to whatever and whomever owns them and not a day longer.

Do your research before you fly off the handle about insignificant shit.

In short, do you really need a 'home-watch' organization to thwart low brow jokes between industry entities? Do you think GI and the staff are defenseless and in need of do gooders because they're incapable of making witty remarks in response of their own?

I guess the concept of posting this to GIO wasn't to support GIO, but to rile their users against Sony. The GIO users are a fickle bunch as with any site community. Was the idea - the enemy of my enemy is my friend? because honestly, you failed at making a huge impact.

Do you run all over the XBLA site pointing out the abusive mods and contrived setups they've got there ar were you someone who got a PS3 and got upset that it's not the perfect system you'd hoped - because apparently you have a PS3 and use it, and if you don't then there's a good chance you just don't really know what it is you're talking about. Which brand of hypocrite are you?

  20. Uh, Locust is a guy.

And... he was obviously joking about Game Informer going out of business. Did you miss the little wink at the end?

You continue to prove how ig'nant you izzz...

  21. @Anon 11:20

actually, that wink was not there in the original post. it seems it got a..'special edit'.

  22. Even if it didn't have it originally, I think it's obvious he was poking fun back at GI. Anything within 10 miles of April Fool's is probably a joke, at least for anyone who has a sense of humor.

    ReplyDelete
  23. well, just like he said in the OP, "This is their idea of an April fool's joke..." you could tell he seemed a little butt hurt over it, then that other post was apparently HIS idea of an April fool's joke. but unlike GI's, his was awful and very unfunny.
